All IP-PBX Systems Are Not Created Equal
Companies evaluating IP-PBX solutions have less and less use for cumbersome legacy systems that may be cobbled together through acquisitions or from other bolted-on technologies that add unwanted complexity.
They are looking for flexible systems that are easy to manage, simply architected and, as a result, deliver the lowest total cost of ownership. ShoreTel’s brilliantly simple IP-PBX system fits this bill and wins customers over day in and day out, especially in demonstration bake offs.
“Among providers of business communications systems, ShoreTel is uniquely suited to addressing complexity head-on, having started with a clean sheet,” according to the report, “The Case Against Complexity.” “Without complexity to shed or work around, ShoreTel built an optimized solution from the ground up for IP that taps into the full power of IP-based communication and collaboration.”
The independent research firm, Aberdeen Group, echoes these findings in a report, “IP Telephony TCO for the SME: Think Beyond Equipment Cost.”
When users of unified communications solutions were surveyed about Avaya, Mitel, Cisco, Microsoft, ShoreTel and legacy TDM (Time Division Multiplexing) systems, Aberdeen found that ShoreTel leads the field for lowest total cost of ownership (TCO).
Aberdeen put the results in perspective in its conclusion, saying, “…ShoreTel’s users are clearly benefitting from a lower total cost of ownership and reduced system complexity.”
Customers are seeing those benefits in a ShoreTel IP-PBX solution that fits their needs, whether through its on-premise, hosted or hybrid offerings.
