M5 Networks Surpasses Two Hundred IT Consultants Offering Voice as a Service
IT Consultants Incorporate Voice as a Service as Part of a Complete Managed Services Offering for Clients
LAS VEGAS – Today at the 2008 Spring Channel Partners Conference and Expo, M5 Networks, the market leader in delivering phone system functionality as a service, announced that it now has more than 200 IT Consulting firms offering M5’s Voice as a Service to their clients, representing a 70 percent annual growth rate. This is a result of two trends: the overall movement of IT Consultants to offer Managed Services and an increased demand for Voice as a Service. M5 is the pioneer of the Voice as a Service (VaaS) model, which offers phone system capabilities as an on-demand, managed service over an IP network optimized for voice.
With Information Technology as a Service (ITasS) solutions becoming more and more prevalent, IT Consultants are finding that an expertise in designing and deploying a complete Managed Services model is critical to demonstrating value in an extremely competitive market. And with the migration to IP-based phone systems in most businesses today, a complete Managed Services solution is expected to include a voice component. This is the main reason why Maron Structure Technologies, a Chicago-based consulting and design firm, decided to partner with M5 Networks to incorporate M5’s Voice as a Service into its Managed Services offering.

In fact, a 2007 study by AMI predicts that annual spending on hosted VoIP services will increase from $236 million in 2006 to $1.4 billion in 2010, representing a compound annual growth rate of 57 percent, with the majority of this growth (69 percent) projected to come from the small and mid-sized business market.
