ShoreTel Connects with 250 CIO’s at Midsize Enterprise Summit – Wins Award for Highest ROI for Business Solutions
Each year, 250 CIO’s of midsize companies gather at the MES (Midsize Enterprise Summit East) conference to learn about the latest innovations that can help their organizations. Numerous vendors, including ShoreTel, Oracle, Microsoft and about 50 others give boardroom presentations and demonstrate solutions, with the intent to earn the business of new prospective customers, meet existing customers and attend the awards ceremony.
CIO’s vote for the best solutions which demonstrate the most proven and highest return on investment. We’re pleased to have earned their recognition for having the highest ROI of all solutions shared at the conference. (Here’s a photo of me, on the left, and colleague Rick Boyd with our award.) We highlighted our unique ability to virtualize applications for on premises deployments, provide all cloud solutions, and our vision for bringing these two worlds together offering the most choice and flexibility for IT organization to deploy solutions for employees. We proved that ShoreTel has the lowest TCO in the industry, as shown with the most recent independent third-party findings from Nemertes Research. Having the lowest TCO isn’t the only thing that matters. The reason we focus equally on the return on investment is having a low TCO doesn’t do anything if the user can’t use the solution. The return becomes zero. With our brilliantly simple solutions, the return is extremely high because the applications are transparent and natural and intuitive. The high adoption of UC is where the real ROI comes from. And the CIO’s agreed, including customers in attendance who attested to how positive the feedback was from their employees.
In the solutions showcase we demonstrated our virtualized call control and collaboration and trunking, along with ShoreTel Mobility software on an iPad in the award winning ShoreTel Dock, and a variety of IP 400 series SIP phones. ShoreTel applications are virtualized with VMWare on a single blade in an HP server. The overall simplicity enables us to demonstrate ShoreTel to attendees.
Sometimes when you go to Orlando, you get to go to Disney. Not this time. But it’s still magical in a way knowing that what you’re doing is making a difference and helping businesses be successful. MES provides a forum for making that happen, and continues to be a great place for earning the business of more than 30,000 businesses than use ShoreTel’s single platform around the world in more than 60 countries. Now that’s what I call a great return.
