Shoreline Teleworks Appoints Ron DiBiase Vice President

Ex-Bay Networks Executive Leads Company’s Sales Organization

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA, August 3, 1998 - Shoreline Teleworks, today appointed Ronald J. DiBiase as the company’s vice president of worldwide sales. Mr. DiBiase, 37, reports to John Fazio, Shoreline Teleworks president and chief executive officer.

As vice president of worldwide sales, Mr. DiBiase assumes responsibility for building the company’s sales and technical field teams and driving Shoreline Teleworks’ distribution efforts for its CrystaLAN™ product line. Further, he is chartered with developing and implementing an indirect sales channel through data communications value added resellers (VARs) and network integrators serving medium and small businesses.

"Ron’s 15 years of experience in sales and marketing in the computer and communications industries have given him the expertise needed to head our aggressive sales efforts," Mr. Fazio said. "In his positions at Bay Networks he successfully developed and headed many innovative programs that established that company’s strong sales strategy and promoted its solid channel partnerships. His past sales, marketing and channel accomplishments make him a valuable member of our seasoned executive team and his sales leadership and guidance will advance our commitment to customer service and strengthen our market position."

As vice president of North American channel sales for Bay Networks, Mr. DiBiase developed the company’s strategic Partner Program for enterprise focused VARs, network integrators and service providers. In addition, he was responsible for the management of all North American channel business through the National Channel Partner teams and regional channel business managers. Further, Mr. DiBiase provided strategic direction for North American channel marketing and was responsible for maintaining executive relationships with the company’s key partners, including VARs, integrators, distributors, service providers and consultants.

Mr. DiBiase joined SynOptics Communications in Parsippany, NJ in 1991 as major account manager and was subsequently promoted to area sales manager. He served in that position for three years before assuming the position of vice president of North America channel sales where he served for two years. Prior to joining SynOptics Communications, Mr. DiBiase worked six years as sales executive and sales manager for Digital Equipment Corporation. He earned a B.S. degree in metallurgical engineering from Lafayette College, Easton, PA and is an MBA candidate at Rutgers University, Newark, NJ.
